VOLUNTARY RECALL OF SPORTSPOWER BOUNCEPRO 14’ TRAMPOLINE SOLD EXCLUSIVELY AT WAL-MART
Sportspower has identified a potential safety hazard relating to certain “brown” color netting on Model Number TR-1463A BouncePro 14' Trampolines sold exclusively at Wal-Mart stores in the U.S. from February 2009 to February 2012. The brown netting has been found in some cases to tear prematurely when exposed to the outdoors, leading to potential fall hazards.
HOW TO CHECK IF YOU HAVE THE AFFECTED TRAMPOLINE NETTING?
The recall involves certain Sportspower BouncePro 14’ Trampoline netting made with brown mesh. The affected trampoline has a 3-arch design and UPC codes 68706404210 or 68706404244 printed on the trampoline box. Model number TR-14-63-A is printed on a plate on the leg of the trampoline frame, as well as the bottom of the Trampoline/Trampoline Net Safety Instruction labels.
If you have purchased a Sportspower BouncePro 14' Trampoline from Wal-Mart Stores, particularly during 2009 and 2010, please immediately stop using the trampoline and check if you have the brown mesh netting which is being recalled. If so, Sportspower will send you new replacement netting, free of charge.
If your product does not have the affected netting, it will be covered under normal product warranty offered by Sportspower. As all trampoline netting is exposed to the outdoor elements including sunlight, wind, rain/acid rain, pollutants and wildlife, the netting must be inspected prior to every use for wear or tear by pinching a section of fabric between fingers and pulling downward. If there are any signs of wear or tear, stop using the trampoline and dispose of the net. Contact our customer service representative if you have any questions or if you need to order an authorized Sportspower replacement net.
